I'm Dr. Abbie Crimm, DACM, L.Ac., a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, certified massage therapist and health coach. I graduated with honors from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley and earned a Doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health and Science.
Aside from my work as an acupuncturist in busy clinics, I've worked for over 15 years as a caregiver, massage therapist, and health coach and derive a deep sense of meaning and joy in connecting with and helping patients reach their health goals. My specialties are pain conditions, digestive health, anxiety and stress-related disorders, women's health and fertility, chronic disease such as fibromyalgia, and autoimmunity. I am a careful listener with a gentle touch.

My interest in both the ancient wisdom traditions and the newer cutting-edge healing technologies has resulted in being able to offer a wide range of healing modalities such as Quantum Biofeedback, polychromatic light therapy, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, and functional medicine and nutrition, creating a well-balanced approach with much to offer. I am an eternal student, passionate and curious about all there is to learn on the healing path, and excited and honored to share my skills and knowledge toward helping others on their journey to better health and well-being.

PAIN CONDITIONS
Acupuncture is a safe, natural and effective way to treat any type of pain, acute or chronic, orthopedic, neurological, or other. Via stimulating the secretion of endorphins and other chemicals, the body's natural pain killers, pain sensations are blocked, and inflammation is reduced, without the harmful side effects of medications.
Depending on the cause, history, and duration of the pain, treatment plans may range from 3 to 6 weeks, at once or twice per week, and then re-evaluate.
I offer Acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture as well as FSM, Light Therapy, and Herbal formulas, as excellent co-treatment modalities for all types of pain conditions.
DIGESTIVE HEALTH
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs have proven to be very helpful and effective for treating digestive imbalances and conditions, such as IBS, and IBD. Through careful intake of patient symptoms, observation, and palpation, it can be determined which channels and points will create balance and which herbs can assist healing.
Additionally, I offer expertise from years of study of nutrition and functional medicine, to offer dietary and supplement advice tailored to your condition and constitution.
If you need an in-depth look into possible imbalances, I can order labs for you, such as GI Map or others, in order to pinpoint the cause and provide the best treatment.
WOMEN'S HEALTH
COMPLEX CHRONIC ILLNESS
Acupuncture is a highly effective and sought-after treatment for women's health conditions and symptoms, from PMS to menopause. I offer the most up-to-date scientifically proven effective acupuncture treatments for fertility enhancement and as an adjunct to Assisted Reproductive Therapies such as IVF and IUI. Acupuncture is also a great support for pregnancy, and at Double Lotus, I offer safe and natural treatments of all pregnancy conditions in a calming, nurturing environment. Each treatment is designed to make both mother and baby stronger for the remainder of pregnancy, delivery, and thereafter.
If you or a loved one are struggling with a diagnosed illness such as Lyme disease, or mold-related illness, or you do not have a diagnosis but are needing help with chronic illness, I have resources to help. Specific lab testing is often required in complex cases so that we can determine a diagnosis or cause and then create a treatment best suited to your individual needs. I use Beyond Balance Herbal products and protocols, as well as others. These products have proven to be extremely gentle yet helpful for many complex chronic ailments.
FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE
Blood Chemistry Lab Report Analysis
Standard blood chemistry labs are part of regular care from primary care physicians and are covered by insurance. The Functional Medical approach to analyzing these lab results has different analytic parameters and offers much more in-depth interpretation and opportunity for insight into specific health issues.
ANXIETY & STRESS-RELATED DISORDERS
Many scientific studies have proven the efficacy of acupuncture and Chinese medicine for the treatment of chronic and acute anxiety disorders.
I have had much success in treating anxiety with acupuncture and Chinese herbs, and especially in combination with biofeedback therapy, for the very sensitive patient who benefits from a finely tuned energy healing approach.

INDIGO BIOFEEDBACK THERAPY
I have been offering Quantum Biofeedback Therapy with the Indigo Biofeedback device since 2005. This is an FDA categorized class 2 device, approved for the treatment of stress, pain-management, and muscle re-education. Indigo Biofeedback is a method of energy balancing and healing, in which over 10,000 frequencies of the body and energy field are measured and treated with balancing frequencies in order to entrain the energy field and body-mind to maintain greater homeostasis and reduction in stress and pain. This treatment lasts one, to one and a half hours, and is often combined with acupuncture, at no extra cost.
FREQUENCY SPECIFIC MICROCURRENT
LIGHT THERAPY
Frequency healing with physiological levels of current carrying specific frequencies to match the resonant frequencies of the tissues and the pathologies involved. For example, sciatica: we will place sticky pads or wet towels at the lower spine and the top of the foot to address the beginning and end of the nerve, so the current and healing frequencies will run through the full length of the nerve. A series of pairs of frequencies will run for a few minutes each, addressing all of the pathologies and tissues typically involved in this ailment. I offer Polychromatic Light Therapy, with the Inlight Wellness light therapy systems. This is a simple yet powerful way to increase circulation, blood flow, oxygenation, and healing. It is also proven to be effective at aiding traumatic brain injury recovery, and mitigating dementia, reducing neuropathy, and speeding wound healing. I add light therapy to acupuncture or other healing treatments at an extra cost of $15, or a light therapy session of 30 minutes for $40. I am an authorized distributor of the Inlight Wellness light therapy systems in case you are interested in renting or purchasing a unit for home use.
